Eudaimonia

The Erasmus+ projet "Eudaimonia" brings together schools from Belgium, Greece, and Croatia around the theme of general well-being. The term eudaimonia, rooted in Greek philosophy, refers to a state of human flourishing, balance, and living a meaningful life. This project aims to explore what well-being means for young people in today’s Europe and how schools and communities can help nurture it. To exchange knowledge and practices on well-being in education, focusing on mental, emotional, physical, and social health. To reflect onhow different cultures approach well-being, and how these perspectives can inspire new habits and initiatives. To develop intercultural competences and communication skills by working together across borders in English and through the use of digital tools. To empower students to take active roles in promoting care, empathy, and inclusion in their schools and communities. Activities : The project will include three mobility exchanges:Belgium (Ostend): well-being at school and in the community, with a focus on care, inclusion, and mental health. Greece: well-being in relation to culture, philosophy, and the environment, drawing on local traditions and the Mediterranean lifestyle. Croatia: well-being and resilience, exploring nature, physical activity, and community life as sources of strength. Between mobilities, students and teachers will collaborate through eTwinning, sharing reflections, creative work, and research on well-being. This online platform will function as a common learning space, ensuring that the exchange continues beyond the physical visits. Expected Outcomes: A deeper understanding of the many dimensions of well-being and how to integrate them into school life.Strengthened intercultural friendships and networks between European students and teachers.A set of practical tools, reflections, and creative outputs (e.g. digital stories, posters, videos) that can inspire schools across Europe to take well-being seriously. Empowered young people who can act as ambassadors of care and connection in their communities.
