DEMOD
DEMOD project stands for "Democracy and sustainable development". It is an Erasmus+ project involving two high schools: Järvenpään Lukio in Finland and GO! Athena in Ostend, Belgium. The project aims to strengthen students' ability to influence ecological and sustainability-related issues through active citizenship. To achieve this, participants develop a deeper understanding of democracy, politics, digital skills, and environmental challenges. By empowering young people to engage in decision-making processes, the project encourages them to become informed, critical, and responsible citizens. The project's outcomes include increased political awareness, enhanced digital and media literacy skills, and a stronger understanding of democratic participation. Through activities such as mobile journalism workshops, international collaboration, and a visit to the Parliament of both countries, students gain practical experience in civic engagement, communication, and democratic processes.
